Riverview School is an independent coed, boarding and day school located in East Sandwich, Massachusetts. Founded in 1957 as the Hopefields School by William Janse and Burgess Butler, Riverview School provides a caring community for adolescents and young adults with complex language, learning and cognitive disabilities. The school is committed to developing student competence and confidence in academic, social and independent living skills.
Riverview School currently meets the individual educational needs of students from 27 states and 9 countries in the Middle and Secondary School. Riverview also provides students with a Post Secondary education through its G.R.O.W. Program.
Riverview is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (DEEC) and approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).
